Integration with ERP and Excel files

Peripheral device integration, SMS messages and public pages without logging in – this is where we gather the Scout features that do not have their own pages.

Scout exchanges data with your ERP both ways: Scout connects to your ERP, or your ERP connects to Scout through our REST API. We prepare the integration individually for your system. Without integration, you import and export data in XLSX files.

ERP integration and other systems

Peripheral device integration

Scout can also be integrated with peripheral devices, such as:

  • input/output modules that control a device or machine at a given moment
  • modules that play a sound, e.g. when a machine has been idle for a long time
  • RFID card or barcode readers to identify employees and jobs at the workstation

You can identify employees and jobs at the workstation with an RFID card or barcode, using any reader that works as a keyboard, or with Zebra network barcode scanners. Card or barcode login is configured for each deployment.

Scout also sends SMS messages through an SMS gateway, e.g. downtime alerts. Details are on the Notifications page.

Public pages

Some views of the system should be available publicly, without logging in – for example views shown on the shop floor or report views for the board.

Scout lets you generate secure URLs for selected views, so they can be used straight away, without entering a username or password.
