Scout MES features

What Scout MES does for your production

The MES features in Scout are built on data collected automatically from your machines. You can only optimise production properly when machine operation is monitored reliably.

Scout helps you answer the key questions about production efficiency and how your machines work.

Scout MES – Current view: two machine tiles with Job status, current program, employee and job

Machine monitoring

Real-time monitoring of production and all your machines. No electrical modifications for popular CNCs and PLCs.

Scout MES – OEE Overview, Machines overview tab: OEE, efficiency and availability gauges and a daily chart for two machines

OEE and more

Clear, simple reports show your real production efficiency and OEE straight away.

Scout MES – Timeline: status bars of three machines over the day

Timeline

An easy-to-read view of machine states over time.

Scout MES – machine event table with status, shift, employee, program and order

Historical data

Monitor your production process with access to the real data from your machines.

Scout MES – weekly report in OEE Details: the Reported times pie chart, OEE gauges and the Reported data chart day by day with an OEE line

Production reports tailored to your company

Ready-made OEE and downtime reports. Scout can also send selected reports by e-mail on an agreed schedule. Tailoring is usually charged as additional work; we agree the scope and cost before we start.

Production scheduling in Scout MES: the Schedule holds planned offline time (e.g. holidays or maintenance), staffing (employees assigned to work shifts) and job periods (planned jobs), linked with the data from the machines

Scheduling

Simple production planning and management.

Scout MES – operator panel: signed-in employee, selected machine and tiles for planned offline time, operator activities and malfunctions

Operator panel

Better production control: Scout combines data from the machines with input from your operators.

Integration diagram: Scout connects to your ERP, or your ERP connects to Scout through the Scout REST API (JSON)

ERP integration and other systems

Scout connects to your ERP, or your ERP connects to Scout through our REST API (JSON). We prepare the integration individually for your system.

Additional features

Identify employees and jobs at the workstation with an RFID card or barcode (configured for each deployment), SMS notifications and public pages that open without logging in.

Scout tailored to your company

We agree with you which data you need and set up reports, shifts and machine groups in your account. Everyone gets a ready view, from the shift supervisor to the board. Tailoring is usually charged as additional work; we agree the scope and cost before we start.
